aka what it's like to work with me
This course aims to give a wide overview of the causes of alopecia. Not all of it will be relevant to your specific situation (thankfully!).
You have to take the information which resonates with your hair loss and implement the suggested steps. Everyone who I've worked with so far has had regrowth!
If you're a parent looking to help your child, I'd advise the monthly group coaching option as the most effective course.
No. There is not one supplement which will address everyone's root cause. This course does not offer a one size fits all approach. Your hair loss is unique to you. Different strategies are offered depending on the issue. The key stages are to get inflammation under control and then help you to be optimally healthy.
Most dermatologists and trichologists start with hair (i.e on the outside). My protocol works by getting to the root of the problem and identifying your unique triggers. We work on gut health, sleep and stress management. Typically if you're using a prescription steroid treatment your regrowth will stop when you stop using it. This program is not a short term fix.
If that happens you return to the protocol, you have all of the tools that you need to support your hair growth. My clients become very aware of how to manage their personal hair loss triggers.
FM views us all as being different genetically and biochemically. Your hair loss will not be caused by the same factors as mine. Your body is intelligent, and has the ability to heal. FM aims to get to the bottom of what's causing the problem in the first place. Conventional doctors tend to focus on which drugs/medicines match your symptoms without getting to the bottom of what's causing the problem in the first place.
No. As a Functional Health Coach I'm an expert in behaviour change. I can support you to make the changes that you might find difficult: for example, how to improve your diet to include more protein and fats, how to improve your sleep, create a stress management practice, improve your mental fitness, prioritise your health. I refer out to medically trained professionals for testing as this is outside of a Health Coach's scope of practice.
This course isn't coaching it's pure information and resources which will be enough for some people. Others might want to add on coaching which is where the magic starts. I've created this course to help as many people as possible have access to the info that they need. This is the information that would have saved my son from losing all of his hair.
Yes, so far it's worked for all of my clients (full disclosure: none have been vegetarian or vegan). That said, they're highly motivated and prepared to do the work. It's been successful for clients with alopecia areata, totalis and universalis. It's not recommended for those with Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (cicatricial), if this is you please message me and I'll point you in the direction of the latest research.
Regrowth can start in as little as two months!
